Code of Conduct

Bridgend Ladies Hockey Club aspires to be a friendly club that promotes the development of hockey. We encourage a spirit of healthy competitiveness whilst providing opportunities to uphold good sportsmanship. We welcome participants of all ages and abilities.

Whilst representing Bridgend Ladies Hockey Club, members are expected to:

Respect the spirit of fair play in hockey - this is more than playing within the rules, it also incorporates friendship and respect for others

Respect the umpires, coaches, players and spectators

Take all reasonable measures to protect their own safety and the safety of others

Never participate when under the influence of alcohol or drugs

Promote the reputation of the club and the sport, and take all possible steps to prevent it from being brought into disrepute

Accept success and failure, victory and defeat, with dignity

Set a positive example for others

Never use inappropriate language or gestures

Child Protection Policy

We take the responsibility of our youth members very seriously.  We have a dedicated Child Protection Officer, Angharad Kitchener-Hanley, to implement our policy and act as a point of reference for anyone with concerns or questions.

Data Protection Policy

We collect your personal data in case of emergency  and in order to perform the administrative functions of the club. We will also use your details to contact you regarding club events, functions and for communicating important messages.

In line with GDPR (EU)2016, your personal data will be stored for a maximum of 2 years. The data will not be publicly shared without informed consent
